Mitch...
I was custom fit for my 712 AP1 irons. They were shipped with specific lie angles based on my fitting to ensure I had the right clubs in my hands to get the most out of my game.
I have heard that over time, both the loft and lie angle of a set of irons can change particularly after years of use. My irons were delivered in January or February of 2012 and given I average almost 100 rounds per year, I would think that it is likely they are getting close to time for replacement. I have sharpened the grooves a little last year and I have certainly noticed an improvement in ball flight.
What I am curious about is whether I should have my loft and lie checked on my irons, and if so, where you would suggest would be the best place to do something like that ?
Many thanks for your help on this. I am sure others may be thinking of the same thing.
