Our course here in southern Alberta finally opened. As was the last course in the area to open. It could not have been better. I arrived at the course and my new 917 Fairway wood was there. Off to the first tee, by a stroke of luck I got to follow the pin guy and was the first one to play the course this year! Second year in a row! First hole is a par five hit the 917 driver I got last October after our course closed so this was it's first hit in Southern Alberta and it did not fail me right down the middle leaving a 816 rescue club to the green. Ten feet away from the pin a simple two put with my Scotty Cameron Studio putter. A side note I was using one of the new Prov V1X balls that Titleist sent me this winter. Titleist never fails me. The rest of the round not so memorable but fun no less and not bad score for the first round of the year.
I have to thank Eric Porter one of Pros at the club and a certified Titleist fitter. The new 917 Driver and Fairway wood worked beautifully.
