I currently play my 913D2 Driver and have no complaints. I actually hit a lot more fairways this year than I did last year so my swing must be getting more and more on line. Unfortunately, I am finding that my distance seems to be shorter particularly compared to a number of chaps I play with. With age, I am finding that distance is beginning to suffer, and that makes it a little tougher to play those longer 425yd+ par fours. SO - I am thinking that perhaps for next year it will be time to look for a new driver to try and gain a few extra yards.
I am curious - Will the sure-fit hosel from the 913 fit the new 917 drivers?
It may allow me to use my existing shaft/grip combination when the time comes to go for a fitting and compare the two drivers. I noticed the description of the 917 hosel said it allowed for adjustment of lie angle and loft, whereas the 913 hosel adjustment allows for loft and the ability to open or close the face so it made me wonder if the two would be compatible.
I am not expecting to hit my driver with 300 yds carry simply by picking up a new driver, but another 20 yds would be really handy :)
