Mitsubishi Rayon Bassara W 50 by Titleist shaft flex

    Hi all. My question: Other than 2 grams of difference in weight, what are the differences between the Bassara W 50 in REGULAR vs STIFF flex? I hit the R very well in a 913D2 but have a chance to buy a brandie new 913D2 in the S for an outstanding price. Thanks for your help folks.

    Hi Matt,

    I tried both the stiff and the regular versions of this shaft as well in my 913D2.  My experience with the Titleist Fitting Centre here in BC was my ball flight.  I had a much more consistent ball flight and trajectory with the Regular Shaft.  Consistency also in that my dispersion rate was much more "consistent" (or grouped a bit more closely), especially with off-centre hits (mis hits).

    I would assume that you were fitted for your 913D2 Regular Flex club and if so, you probably can't go wrong with what you already have. 

    However, I understand that the shafts are interchangeable?  I have never done it and i may be remembering the fitting centre swapping out the various shafts, but I thought that you should be able to swap out the shafts (same club head - 913D2). 

    I would defer to others like Chris W. or other club fitters on the forum for information about the shaft swapping.
