When is it the best time to try a new golf ball (I've played the Pro V1's but want to try the Pro V1X)
Should I try them during my winter training, or wait till I get outside and start my playing season?
Thanks,

Just my opinion, but I never get proper feedback from a ball until I can actually get it outside and see it fly all the way to where it lands. As well - When trying out a new ball, I want to see how it reacts from different yardages and how it checks up on the green. It also helps to do it in weather that is "typical" for when I would normally be playing. That is how I decided between the ProV1 and the ProV1x.

For me, I'd try it on the course along side my regular ball. Go out in the evening when there's less traffic and play nine with two balls so you can compare head to head. I've done this in the past with different balls up against my faithful ProV1 and for me I've always ended up sticking with it!
