Golf season according to the GAO is officially over now and I was wondering how many rounds my fellow Titleist Team members were able to get in this year. For many, golf season might have been cut short do to mother nature in the beginning. Many courses lost holes if not the entire playing season. Regardless of the late start, I think it was another great season for golf in Ontario. Personally I had a great season, #133 rounds entered into the GAO Handicap Computer. Best rounds for me were multiple 76's, still can't get the monkey off my shoulder or out between my ears. Although played great majority of my rounds at my home course, Woodington Lake GC,I did manage to play some other great courses, Westmount GCC in Kitchener, Oshawa GCC, Mad River, Midland, Bond Head and several others. Upgraded from Ap2's to MB's proved to be a smart move. Par 3's had become my best friend, thanks to the accuracy and precision of my new Titleist irons. As a single golfer, met many great people who shared the same passion for golf as I do. Like to wish all fellow Titleist Team members a healthy off season and look forward to hopefully running into you at sanctioned events or simply on the golf course! Forgot to ask, how many rounds did each and everyone get to play in 2014? Best regards, Rob from Beeton

Wow Rob! I thought I was fortunate to play as much as I did, so well done.

I recorded 80 scores (not including corporate events, misc practice) according the Golf Canada with a low of 66, handicap +0.4 and average score of 74.9. My monkey is sub 65. Like you I was fortunate to play golf at various clubs in and around Alberta and a bit in Hawaii.

Hoping to hit Palm Springs this December followed by Hawaii again in January.

Looking forward to the new 915 line! Have a great winter.

I managed to record 102 scores for 2014 with an average score of 79.7. I had a low of 71 and a high of $%&^

Unfortunately like most - I have the odd day where things just refuse to go my way, and the ball decides to play the kissing game and simply run along the lips of the cups. Overall however my game is where I like it, Sure - I would like to do better, but finishing the year off with an index of 5.7 is all I could wish for.

Many thanks to Team Titleist and their great equipment for helping me reach my current level of golf enjoyment both on and off the course.

Sounds like you guys managed to get in quite a few rounds.  That's great!
And even if you're not at the top of your game for all of them...a bad day on the course is better than an average day in the office! ; )

    All the best,

I only recorded 39 rounds on GAO but with the addition of a few non rated courses and tournaments I think it was closer to 60. Obviously I'd like to play more but work and money get in the way. My lowest score this year (personal best) was 82 and my worst was 104 at a really tough course that I hadn't played before.(embarrassing!!!) LOL! We all have 'those' days though don't we? Hey Darius....hubby and I are hoping to get in a game or two with you next year. Let's hope for a short winter and an early spring!

    Hi;

Lucky to get in 140 rounds mostly in Kamloops BC. But luckily since we are retired, we get to start the year in March in Palm Springs and Phoenix. Love Bond Head, the one time I got to play it. Play mostly at Rivershore Golf Links, our Robert Trent Jones Sr. course in Kamloops.

I had the opportunity to play at Rivershore many years ago when I was visiting Kamloops. A lovely course and a real treat.

I am hoping I will get a chance to play there again this coming fall when we return for another visit.

Wow.... reading the replies here, I fee like such an underachiever :)

I logged 41 scored rounds, plus a couple of scrambles.

I'm very nomadic - not a member at any club, and I don't log an official RCGA index.  My SkyCaddie has me at 10.2, which is a new low for me (or high... depending on your point of view).  I had it sub-10 for a while this summer.

The year started early, in Hawaii.  Played Mauna Kea (wow) and a couple of other Big Island courses in Feb before putting the sticks away until our season got underway... which started late as you may recall.  Any rust I might have worked off in Hawaii had plenty of time to accumulate.

In terms of accomplishments, I did record a new PB of 75.  I also finally notched up a win at the D&HGA Invitational (Duffers and Hackers Golf Association), in which a bunch of buddies get together in late May in Malone, NY for 5 rounds in 3 days, with a sort of tournament interspersed by a lot of laughs - we've been doing it for 13 or 14 years now. The green jacket is hanging in my closet.  I had been bridesmaid for four years in a row - finally brought it home this year.  I also helped a buddy win his corporate scramble, which was pretty cool.

2014 was the year where I finally turned in my trusty old worn out irons, and switched brands to go with AP2s.  Irons had always been a strong part of my game, and I was nervous about the change.  Now, I wished I had pulled the trigger sooner.  Love, love, love the AP2s, so much so that I added a 913H, and I finally put a Scotty in my bag.  Next year will be woods, and a refresh on my old Vokeys.

I am also looking forward to putting my hands on more of those prototype ProV1x that I was fortunate enough to try out late in the season.  What an awesome ball!

    Happy holidays, all!

    Regards,

I was fortunate to get in 72 rounds this year. Considering I missed all of April, May and most of June due to health reasons I was ecstatic. It was a little over a year ago where I thought I was finished. #winning

I played around 75 rounds this year. Couldn't break 80 this year from the blues or white tees. Played with the AP1's 712 and kept hitting off the toe and going left. I'm a lefty. Titleist guy, cant remember his name but thanked him a lot for a fitting at the course. He told me to get my lie adjusted 2degrees up. So I brought them into GT and they did it, bent my clubs bad and 4 pro's told me to bring them back, they never saw anything like that. Didn't take a picture of them but brought them back at the end of the year. First GT said he would give me a $100 gift certificate till I told him to run his hand across the face which was pushed out from the lie adjustment. Then said, these are finished. Gave me $670 for them and I put another $670 down for the AP2's 714. Then I went a bought a new 913 d2 driver. Love the AP2's a lot but only played indoor but what a difference between forged and cast. Love them both but looking forward to a new relationship with the AP2's. Also happy with GT honoring their mistake. 120 rounds I hope for the 2015 season.
