Futura X5 R - Scotty has outdone himself - yeah, again!

    Hi all,

    I picked up a new Futura X5 R 34 inch today and despite the fact that I might not be able to put it in actual play until the spring - being that it was 2 degrees today - all I have to say is wow!

    BTW, the slightly larger grip is fantastic.  No doubt, I will be wearing out the carpet all winter.

    Scotty does it again!!!!!

    I was fortunate to be given one on Saturday, great putter but what do you think of the sound?

    Admittedly, I had not thought much about sound during my assessment putts and fitting discussion.

    That said, and in light of your question I thought I would test the FuturaX 5 R against my Futura X CB 38 model. Perhaps I have the proverbial "tin ear" but, I found no discernable difference. 

    Key learning for me with this purchase was the value of a consultation with a Team Titleist fitter.

    Yep, even on your next Scotty!!
