Thanks Team Titleist!  I received a sleeve of Black #1's.  Will be testing them tomorrow and comparing them to my pro v1's. 

If I could make a recommendation, I personally preferred the black writing and arrows vs the grey's in the 2014 pro v1 models.

I wanted to thank Team Titleist for the sleeve of unexpected test balls. I actually thought that when they arrived it was a parcel for my wife consisting of make-up or something. I received the Red's and employed them for a couple of days. 

I don't know if I'm supposed to publish my findings??? I filled out the survey.

Thank you Titleist!!! Got my Reds in the mail and I'll be putting them in play when I'm back at it on Monday! You guys treat us so well. And I just pre-ordered my 915 D3!

First off thanks TT for the test balls just got back from an 18 hole round managed to lose only 1 test ball loved the ball from tee to green by far the best ball I've played to date extremely happy with the less spin off the tee excellent feel around the green awsome feel for putting with virtually no wear to the cover keep the great work and can't wait till these eggs hit the shelves :D

Played the "black" today in cool wet conditions. The ball seemed to stay in the air longer and distance was slghtly better than my current pro v1 off the driver. It felt like I could feel the compression of the ball more than my usual. Incredible feel off the putter head and the ball was unblemished after my round. Give it another try tomorrow in what will be cool morning conditions.

           Finally got a chance to try the Black #1 test balls i received. I must agree with what i have read from most people that have tried them so far.  Ball felt absolutely fantastic when i flushed it, regardless of what i was using. It was a windy, wet kind of day so as for distances it wasn't easy to tell exactly how much difference there was. Certainly felt like i was gaining a few yards at least.  Full wedge shots were definitely sticking more than what i was able to get before. No problem going straight for the pin when there were tight hole locations. No bailing out here!! Where i noticed the most was in the short game. My club was pretty empty so I was able to play around with different shots and locations around the green. My pitches would land with a ton of spin, could almost get it to stop on a dime!! Also, chips were awesome too.  Was able to get the ball to land, check and release very nicely with a very smooth roll after.  Putting was like butter too, seemed to be a very true roll.  All in all, i felt very confident attacking the pin with these things. wasn't afraid to put it tight because i knew it wasn't going to roll by very far if at all.  Would love to see how they react on a hot dry day were the greens are less receptive, just to see what i can do with it!  Thanks a lot Titleist, I appreciate the chance to try these things out. I do not want to lose one now!!  Sign me up for a few dozen when/if these are available.  Hopefully everyone else on TT that received these gets a chance to hit em! I think you will love it too.

I too would like to thank Titleist for test balls.  I sure hope to get out again this year to try them out.

I got my sleeve last week of #1 blacks, played 27 with one over Thurs and Fri.  Great feel and ball flight and it stopped up nice on the greens.  Felt real nice off the putter face and rolled out nice.  Great ball and thanks for the opportunity Titleist!!! 

I recieved a sleeve or Red Titlest #1's last week.  I put them in play on Saturday morning which turned out to be our last nice day of the year.  I currently use a ProV1x.  The first thing I did was bounce both balls (the test ball and my regular ProV1x) on my wedge.  I couldn't detect any noticible difference.  The I dug my finger nail into the ProV, the test ball and an NXT to try and figure out what kind of cover it had.  My guess is that it is Urethane like a ProV.

Then I took it to the course.  I gave one to my friend (also a ProV1x user) and I put one in play.  The first thing that we both noticed was that it was harder.  Not the compression, but the cover.  It had a more noticeble "click" sound to it which I actually prefer.  The second difference was that it spun less.  Long game shots seemed to float in the air and resist ballooning.  Half Wedge shots seemed to have less spin as well.  Something I need to spend more time practicing with. 

Overall, I liked the charactoristics of the new ball.  The one negative for me was short game spin.  It is that time of year in Winnipeg where it is hard to tell if the ball isn't spinning or if the ground is just hard because it is cold. 

Thanks for the opportunity to test the new ball Titleist!  I am available to test Drivers and Irons as well.  :)

Just received my sleeve of 3 red Titleist TEST balls.  Thank You Team Titleist... I put together 3 of last years ProV1x and 3 of this years ProV1x balls to compare to the TEST balls that you were kind enough to send me for feedback.  I will try and get out this week and get an on course comparison before I complete the survey.  I always appreciate being included in any tests that Team Titleist are offering.  You guys are GREAT!

I too wanted to thank Titleist for the opportunity to participate in this testing of the prototype golf balls. 

All of the guys I play with all were a bit envious of me having the opportunity to try and test these prototype golf balls.  I encouraged them all to get out and join the Team Titleist program for Canada. 

It is a treat to be able to participate and offer feedback on this program and know that when the new balls eventually do make it to market that in my own small way I contributed to the product! 

I also wanted to add that I also enjoyed my fitting experiences at the Titleist Regional Fitting Centre at the Northview Golf Academy in Surrey, B.C.   -- The program that Titleist Canada is running is second to none and I want to thank Titleist for its commitment to us as consumers and players who rely on Titleist for our golf.

Want to follow up my previous post after having played 2 more rounds with the #1 black prototype. As previous, the feel off the putter face is amazing. As for distance, I would conclude that the ball is slightly longer off the driver than my usual Pro V1. Played the last 2 rounds in cold weather and distance was surprising with this ball. I didn't notice difference in distance with the irons but I would say it spins more. My iron and wedge shots seemed to hold the greens a little better. The ball feels "soft" but doesn't play soft when it comes to distance. I felt more compression on the clubface with all clubs and especially the putter. I've played 3 rounds with the same ball and it still looks like I just took it ouf of the box. The cover of this prototyope ball is very durable. 

A big thank you to Titleist for the opportunity to participate in this testing of the prototype golf balls. 

Received some Red Test balls and played with one yesterday and the current ProV1x ball. The dimple patter looks identical, but the ball right off the bat even with the putter felt a little firmer to me, which I like, gives me the feel that the ball will spin a little less.

Hard to tell exactly any difference in spin but it seemed to spin a hair less on the longer clubs and the same around the greens. might have been a couple yards longer off the longer clubs and about the same on the mid to shorter clubs.

hope I get to play a few more rounds this year to test it again.

Hi team. Just finished my third round with the red test balls.  I am glad to hear feedback so I know it's not just me but common feelings about the balls. 

This red ball feels harder but  my goodness it seem to POP off the irons.  Anyone else notice this?

Wedges and half wedges sure seem to behave awesome with hop and stop.  Driver doesn't seem to spin any different and hold s like a prov1 x. 

cover is very durable! 

Took me 3 rounds to get use to the extra POP off the irons. Putting feels great.  

I am still baffled if anyone else feels the extra pop (10 yards longer on irons) ? 

Please let me know gang if anyone else noticed this so I know if it was just me or not.
