I went to the National fitting centre in Maple Ont. Wow what a great experience. I met with Chris Welton at the appointed time and was asked to go warm up. After warming up Chris asked me several questions and took my own 6 iron to get its particulars. I then proceeded to hit a few shots with my 6 iron with the Tracman on. Chris then handed me a 6 AP2 to hit. The fitting truly started to take shape with Chris asking questions and changing shafts every few hits. We tried a bunch and I couldn't believe how truly big a difference the shafts made. After Chris looked at the data and my input it was very clear that KBS Tour stiff was the right shaft for my swing and the AP2 was the right head. Like a hot knife through butter! We then went to my Driver. Well I will be waiting for the new 915's to come out. After a few hits Tracman showed that I was hitting down on the ball with my driver. I need to make a swing change to really get a benefit from a new driver. Off to the short game area to get a wedge fitting. First I was asked to hit a few short shots from a really tight lie. After seeing just a few shots Chris changed me out to a different wedge. Wow the right bounce and grind make a huge difference. We then repeated this in long grass and sand. Chris and I headed back to the Tracman to hit some full wedges to get the gaps right. Chris then summarized all the info to me and sent all the data to my email. Next step was to order all my new custom stuff. After careful consideration, I decided to order through Luke at Eagles Nest GC. My order was large and had several customizations they gave me the best price and service. I am now the happy owner of Titleist AP2 irons, Vokey wedges and a new customised tour bag. Thanks again Chris it was a great experience. Thanks also to Luke for putting the order together. Thanks Titleist team for getting the order right and delivered quickly. P.S. I would post a few pics if I knew how. Regards Andrew

Did they have 915s available on a fitting cart? Any estimation as to when you could get fitted for new 915s?

No the 915 are only now available to the tour players. Should be out by September I would think.

Glad to hear things went well for you, and that you enjoyed your fitting like the rest of us who have had the opportunity to spend time with Chris and the Titleist gang at Eagles Nest.

Hope the new irons help you lower your handicap and continue enjoying the great game of golf :)

    Hi All,

I too just had a club fitting at the Titleist Regional Fitting Centre at the Northview Golf Academy in Surrey, B.C.  My fitter was Kathy Stecyk -- and I was thoroughly impressed with the entire program.  My fitting was specifically for wedges and a new driver.  I was impressed with the way we were able to use the Trackman data, coupled with Kathy's knowledge and experience, to develop samples of my shots.

We started with my 46* PW to establish my distances with that club and then proceeded to work through the appropriate wedge options.  Of course, we included some "testing" of my swing to determine lie angles and to determine my type of swing.  We then worked through the different wedge choices, considering both the bounce and grind options.

On the driver, we proceeded with establishing some baseline data with my existing driver.  Then it was on to testing the different shaft options with the driver to determine the shaft(s) most appropriate for me.

All in all, it was a great fitting experience and I am in the process of now ordering some new wedges and a new driver from Titleist!  Once my new driver arrives, we will be back at the centre to fine tune the driver!

I have been fitted before with my png driver and Irons, and in the case of the irons, included launch monitor and analysis, but I must compliment Titleist for taking the club fitting experience to a new level.

Not only was I able to have a very thorough and knowledgeable fitter assess me, but the data she compiled and reviewed with me helped me to better understand my golf swing.  Thanks to Titleist!
