    Well the title says it all. I'm stoked. I was at the course today and the Head Pro informed me that I had an e-mail to respond to for him and I. The e-mail. 

    Apparently I'm going to the National Fitting Centre at Eagle's Nest on Tuesday... pretty excited. I'm going officially to Titleist where I feel I should have been the entire time. I don't care if the fitter suggests an L flex or an X flex. AP1 (which I have a gut feeling about) or the MB. Whatever gives me the best results wins.

    1 week baby.

    Hi Alex

     

    I hope you enjoy the experience.  I travelled from Ottawa to the National Centre in middle of May and had a great experience with Chris.

    I urge you to take notes - don't rely on memory for afterwards.  I had intended to but got wrapped up in what was happening and didn't.  The result was mental confusion on my part later on when it came to ordering the Clubs, particularly with the grind on the wedges.  Went with what was on the sheet (thankfully) and now have one sweet set of AP2's , SM5 wedges, and 913 fairway woods/hybrids.

    Alex - I have had the pleasure of going there twice now, and have found both experiences to be valuable.

    The info spreadsheet that Chris sends you afterwards is very interesting as well. I personally was surprised at my club-head speed, my swing path, and my smash factor.

    Oh yeah - since my last fitting, I have dropped my handicap by 3 strokes !!! I have now exceeded my goal for the year, but the real trick will be keeping it there until the season ends.
