    Hi guys,

I was wondering if you could share with us which of these 2 models (if there is a difference) is more forgiving than the other for the 3 and 4 iron? Let's say we are talking about a 4 iron, what are the differences in trajectory and forgiveness assuming same loft and shaft?

Reason I'm asking is that I am fortunate enough to have a 712U 2 iron in the bag and I really like it to the point that I am considering about ordering the 3 and 4 in my upcoming set for 2014. I currently have 712AP2 (3-9 iron) with C-taper X. Performance wise, I was pleased by the irons but 2 things kept bugging me. First is the visible cavity in the AP2 long irons and second is the high flight in the shorter irons. After hitting the 712MB 6 iron side by side with my 712AP2, I can say that I prefered the MB for the added feel and workability (it's a small difference but I noticed it). I also prefer the look of the 712U compare to the AP2 long irons. I'm better off with slightly more forgiving irons in the 2-3-4 (who doesn't need it!).

That combination would enable me to have the 712U 2-4 and 714MB from 5-PW.

What do you guys think about this combo? Anyone have experience with the 712U 3 and 4?

I'm heading out to my regional center in a week or so to try the new 714 but I'd like to have some input before I go there.

    Thanks!
