Here is a little story about what I've been up to so far this season. First a little background on myself:
I've been a a PGA of Canada Professional since 2007, always been a techie type of guy, and always loved custom fitting players. I recently switched jobs to a new facility. I've been lucky to have a Head Professional who is big on custom fitting. Now on to this season I've been done 8 iron fittings so far, which is pretty good since our range has been open for about 3 weeks, and the course for a little over 2. I've fit players from from scratch handicaps who have lost a little bit of distance with age, to 25 handicaps looking for something easy to hit.
So far out of the 8 iron fittings 6 have either AP1, AP2 or a combo of both! Most players have commented on how much better then AP1 looks than other irons in the same category, and how they feel so solid. The part that I find the coolest is the fact that the irons are in there 2nd year of the product life cycle. Normally iron sales slow down, but we are blowing last year out of the water already!
Just thought I'd share a little story for anyone who wanted to read.
And for anyone who hasn't tried the AP1's in at least the long irons you should!
