    Hi there,

I've purchased a 910d3, 910f and 910h from a person who works at a golf shop. I emailed titleist to have the clubs verified and they told me that the numbers don't match the clubs in their database. I contacted the seller who is adamant that they are real so I brought the clubs into my local Golf Town. I explained the situation to the general manager who was kind enough to inspect the clubs. He says they are legit.

Any idea what they mean by 'don't match the clubs in the database?' How can I find out if they are real or not? If I phone, will they be able to tell me any more than they did by email?

    Thanks.

    Jake,

With regards to your question, we store all custom and stock iron serial numbers in a database at our build facility in Carlsbad.  The database is a great tool to find some information on the origin of the club, where it was shipped to and to double check if the specs match up with what went out.  For those golfers who have unfortunately misplaced a single iron, this is a method we can use to build a single iron to match the rest of their set.

One of the issues with the serial number verification is that we can not authenticate product as if someone can make a copy of a club, they can certainly make a copy of a serial number.  This being said its a good start to find out if the club(s) are authentic but is not 100% accurate.

Due to the fact that the serial numbers font is on the smaller side, the odd time a mis-read can occur.  I will be sending you a private email, please verify the serial number on the SureFit Tour Hosel and the club heel and I will run the numbers again from you.
