Strange Shaft Bend

  1. Hey Team Titleist,

I picked up some new 712 AP2's a few weeks after a long love affair with my Hogan's for about 10 years.  Have been loving the clubs. I was out warming up yesterday morning for a round and as I was working my way through my bag I pulled out my 6i.  First swing felt good nice and straight, second was fine maybe a little thick.  I pull back the club and it just feels wonky.  The shaft had a big bend about 6 or 8 inches up the shaft.  I have never seen anything like this in my life, especially off of grass.  When I took it in I was told it could take three weeks to get it back and with certain important events coming up I decided it was faster to just replace it. My question is, have you had any other experiences like this with the dynalite xp shafts in the AP2's?

    Nic

    Hi Nic A,

We have not had any other common experiences like this with the Dynalite XP shafts in AP2's or any other Titleist iron.  In terms of replacement of the shaft...we have that shaft in both stiff and regular in stock here at our Canadian HQ.

We would likely be able to replace the shaft in under 48 hours (in house) plus shipping time.  Your Team Titleist Profile doesn't list what provence you are located in, so you would have to build appropriate shipping periods in based on your location in Canada.  If in B.C, 3 weeks would be on the high side if what we would quote.  If in Ontario, it would likely take approximately 5-7 business days.

    We hope this helps!

    Cheers,

Mitch D - Team Titleist Canada
