So I currently have 14 clubs in my bag, but I think I'm going to change things up a bit for 2012.  Tell me what you guys think:

    Current Set Up

    Driver, 3 Wood 18* Hybrid, 4-PW, 50, 54, 60 Putter - 14 Clubs

Now my issue is I hammer my 910FD off a tee, best 3 wood I've ever hit!  But off the deck it's too low.  I did find a deal on a 906 5 wood to replace the 18* hybrid as my fairway club.   Here is the problem.  The gap between the 5 wood 4 iron I think will be too big!

So I was thinking, I could bend all my irons 2* weak, thus allow me to drop my PW and replace it with the 50* SM4 I have.

Now the question is what should I add to fill the gap?  A 3 iron? Or maybe a hybrid?  21*? 24*?  What do you guys think?

I'm not an expert but i've found from my own tinkering that a 21* hybrid fits nicely in the gap you're referring to and is more versatile than a 3 Iron. Also, don't see a need to bend ALL your clubs 2* weak (though i see the fun in that!)... Why not just bend the 50* 2 degrees stronger, drop the PW thus creating even 6* gaps in all your wedges? My two cents. Pete

I like your thinking Pete!  I think I will have to try that out next!  As for the bending... Your probably right.  Maybe I'll go one strong on the 50 and then bend the rest 1 weak to match!  More fun during the cold winter, when I don't have much else going on!

Brad just remember bending strong decreased bounce at a 1:1 ratio and weak is the opposite.

So if you plan on bending that 50* strong 2* assuming you have the 8* bounce model you would be down to 48.06 which may be quite low for a wedge. if its the 12* bounce then you will still be left with 10* which is probably a better option

I have the 50.12 Matt.  But I've decided to go another route.  I can't for the life of me hit an 8 iron...  So I am going to ditch it.  Don't ask me why, because I don't really know.  I've never ever been able to hit a 8 iron well at all!  Can kill a 7 and 9, but 8's never been good!
