The short answer to your question ":Are these wedges exactly the same except for the spin milled face?" is an emphatic NO!

Thanks for getting back to me Dave.Im in the hunter valley in NSW so any demo days would be awesome as the only "stockists" carry very limited inventory and never any to demo. Ive asked the guys whats the difference between the 2 but they couldnt shed any light,so i thought id try the source. After a bit of trial and error with the spin mills ive realised that the 200 series seems to suit my game as some SM have different profiles,bounces and grinds. But then i found that info above which i thought confirmed that the 256.10 and sm56.10 {sm1} were identical except for the grooves and the milling. i thought considering its the same bounce and same thin sole one could presume its the same profile/shape. Pretty sure the first SM came out in 2005 which is not long after the 200 series. So is that model SM the same shape as the 200 series? You say no,but titleist PDF implies it is.
